چکیده
Abstract Background Signet ring cell carcinoma (SRC) is a rare histological subtype of gallbladder adenocarcinoma. The current study evaluates the clinicopathologic features and prognosis SRC. Methods Patients with adenocarcinoma were identified in Surveillance, Epidemiology, End Results database from 1973 to 2016. Overall survival (OS) cancer-specific (CSS) patients who had SRC compared those non-SRC using Cox regression propensity score methods. Of 22,781 adenocarcinomas retrieved, 377 (1.7%) other 22,404 non-SRC. was more significantly associated older age, female gender, poor differentiation, advanced tumor stage, lymph node metastasis, distant AJCC stage. 5-year OS CSS group 7.2 6.5%, respectively, both which worse than 13.2 13.3% seen ( P = 0.002 0.012, respectively). This disadvantage persisted multivariable analyses [hazard ratio (HR) 1.256, 0.021 HR 1.211, 0.036] after matching (OS: 1.341, 0.012 CSS: 1.625, 0.005). Surgery combination chemotherapy improved surgery alone (HR 0.726, 0.036) or 0.433, < 0.001). Conclusion have distinct clinicopathological prognosis. can improve survival.

Signet ring cell carcinoma of the gallbladder: a case report.
Carcinoma of the gall bladder is the most common biliary tract tumor with higher incidence in females and increasing age. The risk is significantly higher in cholelithiasis. Signet ring cell carcinoma is a rare form of mucinous adenocarcinoma and has a worse prognosis. Early diagnosis is rare. We report a case of signet ring cell carcinoma of the gall bladder in a 70 years old female patient. T...
متن کاملMucinous carcinoma of the gallbladder with signet ring cells
Most gallbladder carcinomas are adenocarcinomas, of which mucinous carcinoma (MC) is a rare pathologic subtype. Signet ring cells are seldom found in MCs. We report an extremely rare case of gallbladder MC with signet ring cells. This is the first radiological case report about this rare type of histologic entity with detailed discussion of imaging findings in the English literature. In additio...

The patients were divided into three groups according to component of SRCs: SRC≥50% group, SRC < 50% group and non-SRC ...
متن کاملA case of signet-ring cell carcinoma of the gallbladder: immunohistochemistry and differential diagnosis.
The morphological spectrum of gallbladder carcinoma is broad and variable. Most of these tumors are tubular adenocarcinomas. There are some tumors with unusual morphology that may be difficult to classify due to their rarity. One of such tumors is the signet-ring cell carcinoma, which is a highly aggressive, mucin producing variant of gallbladder adenocarcinoma predominantly or exclusively comp...

PURPOSE To investigate the clinicopathological features and prognosis of signet ring cell carcinoma of the stomach (SRC). METHODS A total of 1464 gastric cancer patients who underwent curative gastrectomy from 2000 to 2008 at a single center were evaluated. Signet ring cell carcinoma (SRC) was defined as the presence of at least 50% signet ring cells in the pathologic specimen. The clinicopat...
